I first became interested in becoming a counsellor when I was working as a hospital social worker. I soon realised that patients recovery depended on having the opportunity to talk about how they were feeling as well as receiving practical care. I went on to obtain my Advanced Diploma in Counselling. The approach taught was predominantly Psychodynamic. However, over time I have developed a more Integrated/Person Centred approach to my work.
