First of all, I believe therapy is useful for anyone. What is commonly labelled as “mental health”, I would call “quality of life” - something we all struggle to manage. I personally have struggled with stress, anxiety and burnout throughout my life leading to treatment on the NHS and eventually a late diagnosis of autism. In my 450 hours of placement experience I spent the majority of time in the NHS - roughly half in primary (short term), and in secondary (long term) services.
