Welcome to my practice. Why have I registered on this website? Well, I grew up in a military family and as a child lived between the UK, Europe and West Africa. In adulthood I've spent time living in Israel, backpacked in China and Australia, and visited the Gulf (Qatar and Oman), and the USA in addition to many European countries. After years based in London I decamped to the British countryside for a while, before embarking on my latest adventure when in 2020 I emigrated to France. So I have a really good understanding of what it means to be itinerant; to be an outsider looking in, but to also observe the ubiquitous similarities between all people. I understand that even when travel and living 'abroad' is a pro-active choice it can still present you with the challenges of transition: language, customs, climate and cultural differences, housing, laws, administration, and isolation from family and long-term friends. And of course, for some people moving to a new country is not a choice
