About

I am familiar with the struggle of living outside of one's comfort zone, while also finding new senses of home and family in a completely new culture. I spent my earlier years as a child of US expats in Europe, and then lived in Japan and South Korea in my 20's both as an ESL teacher and in the US Military. I have immediate family family living in Japan and Poland, and have experiences life in each of these places. Currently, I am raising children in a bi-cultural, dual language family. My personal experiences provide me with immense familiarity to expats and third culture individuals, as well as the unique experiences of military and their families living abroad. I provide integrative psychotherapy and self-directed learning utilizing cognitive and transpersonal psychology, specializing in Buddhist-influenced approaches (Morita Therapy & Acceptance & Commitment Therapy/ACT) and an Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR/AF-EMDR).
