Realising that you might need to talk to someone can be an unsettling experience. Actually finding that person can be a different experience entirely. I'd encourage you to look around, send some emails, get a feel for who you are talking to, and don't feel like you have to stick with the same person even if you initially felt the match was good. You need to feel able to open up to this person about things you might never have said before.
