“What you resist, persists”, said Carl Jung. We often resist or deny certain feelings or parts of ourselves that we do not accept, do not want and therefore, refuse to see. It might be painful or seem i mpossible to face difficult feelings like sadness, guilt, shame or anger. Maybe it is too embarrassing to admit some feelings to another person. Part of our work is about finding the hidden bits and exploring them in a safe space.
