About

In psychodynamic psychotherapy, there is a focus on your emotional world and how feelings are expressed or avoided; in time, we'd identify recurring themes and patterns in your life; we would think about past experience and how it relates to the present; we'd get to know your relationships, including the therapy relationship itself; and, because emotional conflict is often unconscious, we would explore the non-verbal parts of your experience – daydreams, dreams, gestures, movements, sensations and intuitions – the things in our experience that sit closer to unconscious life.
