One-to-one counselling for adults on an open-ended or time-limited basis. I originally trained in psychodynamic counselling, the model upon which I continue to base my practice. The psychodynamic approach focuses on the ‘unconscious’, and enabling unconscious thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour to become conscious. In the past, certain thoughts and feelings might have been difficult to process, so we ‘tuck them away’ without being aware of it.
