Hello My name is Aisha. I specialise in Religious Trauma; I work with those who have left their faith and those who remain within the faith, but struggle with feelings of guilt, shame or anxiety due to religious teaching. Here is a little bit more about me: I am British-Born Pakistani, I work remotely so can see people from all over the world (Zoom/Teams) I am an Ex-Muslim – I was raised to be a Muslim but have left the faith. I have a special interest & experience in working with family estrangement and cultural issues. Over 10 years of experience in the NHS as a therapist and in management. I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT). I am experienced in working with Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Social Anxiety, PTSD, Panic attacks, Vomit Phobia, Health Anxiety, Long-term Conditions & Bereavement I can understand most Urdu/Hindi, but can only provide therapy in English as I can’t speak fluently in those languages.
