Hi! I’m Risha (she/her), founder of Mango Grove Psychotherapy & Wellness. Growing up in South Asian communities, I witnessed the tension many of us feel: balancing family expectations with personal needs, carrying unspoken generational pain, and navigating mental health in cultures where it is often misunderstood or stigmatized. Too often, therapy spaces felt disconnected from these realities. I wanted to change that. Mango Grove was born to offer culturally attuned, trauma-informed care where individuals and families can explore their experiences without having to explain or defend their identities. It is a place for community healing, where conversations about mental health are normalized, and where people of colour—especially South Asian women—can break cycles of silence, shame, and self-sacrifice. At Mango Grove Psychotherapy & Wellness, we believe healing happens when you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Our practice was created as a safe space for individuals, couples, and families navigating the complexities of cultural expectations, intergenerational trauma, and identity. Our practice is rooted in compassion, cultural understanding, and evidence-based care. We specialize in working with South Asian and BIPOC communities, helping clients break cycles of people-pleasing, family conflict, and self-neglect so they can live with greater balance and authenticity. Our team of therapists offer a range of services including individual therapy, couples counselling, family sessions, and group therapy. Whether you’re beginning therapy for the first time or deepening your healing journey, we meet you where you are with warmth, respect, and non-judgment. Much like a mango grove—where roots grow strong, branches stretch wide, and fruit ripens in its own time—we honour your unique path toward growth and wellness!
