I offer Psychodynamic Therapy. Available on Saturdays. I understand how asking for help can be very hard. If you’ve been coping on your own and it no longer feels manageable, counselling can help. I work in a culturally sensitive way to navigate what you may be going through. You may be thinking other people have it worse and this thought can keep you stuck and stops you getting support. There may be relationship breakdowns, bereavement, loss of trust or challenging people in your life causing you distress. You might be considering counselling because anxiety, low mood, or constant overthinking have started to feel overwhelming. How counselling can help stress, anxiety and depression. Counselling can support you in reflecting on past and current issues in a non-judgemental space to understand how to find ways to cope with uncomfortable or painful feelings and try to move forward. You may appear to be ‘fine’ to those around you while internally feeling stressed and anxious. You may have been experiencing an underlying sense of sadness or isolation and want to alleviate the overthinking and difficulties to wanting to feel better. You may have been through experiences that have left you feeling guilt, shame, confused or you are experiencing pressures to be in a relationship or are feeling judged about a relationship you have had or want to pursue. You may have been told growing up to stay quiet, stay strong and this has left you feeling asking for help is very difficult. I offer a private, safe and confidential place to explore and help you manage feelings and thoughts. This may enable you to gain a deeper self-understanding. You may want to explore your identity and beliefs being South Asian and also understanding different cultures. If you have reached a point that you want something to change, taking the step to have counselling can make a difference. I offer in-person or online therapy sessions.
