Hi! My name is Tania, and I am a Humanistic Counselor who values openness, curiosity, and a judgment-free therapeutic space. My work is grounded in accompanying people through processes of reflection and change, supporting them in clarifying their goals and exploring new perspectives. I see therapy as a space for ongoing self-recreation, where meaningful change can emerge through increased self-awareness and self-esteem. Due to my father’s profession and later my own choices, I spent the first 28 years of my life moving countries approximately every three years, before a sudden (but actually long-brewing) change of heart led me to settle in Madrid, Spain. This lifestyle fostered deep cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and fluency in four languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. It also gave me a lived understanding of uprootedness and ‘otherness,’ and of the quiet pain that can arise from feeling alienated from one’s own culture: an experience I was only able to fully process through therapy. I studied philosophy at university and later trained as a conference interpreter, after a brief period preparing for a diplomatic career. It was through my own therapeutic process that I developed a profound interest in psychotherapy, which led me to train in Humanistic, Integrative, Systemic, and Psychosomatic approaches. My personal and professional path has been non-linear, and I experience this as a strength in my practice. If you are looking for a therapist who is comfortable navigating complexity and alternative pathways, please reach out!
