About

Life’s challenges can affect both our emotional and mental wellbeing, as well as our relationships and aspects of our daily lives. Whether you’re seeking to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, facing a difficult chapter in your life, or experiencing significant distress, I am here to meet you where you are at! Therapy, to me, is not just about managing challenges and symptoms—it’s about reconnecting with parts of yourself and building a life that feels more aligned with who you are. I am curious about how we, as individuals, grow, heal, and thrive, and I feel honoured to be part of that process with my clients. My aim is to create a warm, safe, and caring space where you feel truly heard, understood, and comfortable to be yourself. A place where you can reflect, process, gain deeper insight, and find practical solutions—empowering you to move forward with greater clarity, personal growth and wellbeing. I am a registered Counselling Psychologist with the HPCSA and BHF, and am passionate about working therapeutically with clients across the lifespan, including adults, couples, teenagers, children (including under 5 years old), families, and parents with their infants. I also provide Psychoeducational and Concessions Assessments for children and teenagers. I am well-versed in working with a range of difficulties, but have a special interest in depression and self-harming behaviours, postpartum disorders, anxiety, attachment and relationship difficulties, trauma, loss and grief, adjustment difficulties, low self-esteem and low self-confidence, career counselling, and personal growth. However, this list is in no way exhaustive. To find out more about me, the services I offer and types of difficulties, conditions and areas I work with, you can explore my website at www.cf-psychology.com. In my therapeutic approach, I primarily use psychodynamic psychotherapy, as it allows for a deeper understanding of oneself and creates enduring changes in one’s life by exploring the underlying factors that influence emotions, behaviours, ways of relating, and overall well-being. However, each individual who comes to see me in therapy has a different story, and their goals, needs and financial situation differ. As such, I believe in tailoring therapy for the specific needs of the individual, child, couple or family. With this in mind, I may integrate a range of other evidence-based models, including mentalisation, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, existential, and dialectical-behavioural approaches, to ensure that treatment is effective and aligned with your goals. Recognising the need for help and seeking support can be difficult, but is a courageous step toward healing. You don’t have to suffer and navigate your struggles alone! Whether you’re looking for therapy or in need of a psychological assessment, I’m here to provide understanding, empathy and professional guidance throughout the entire process.
