I am a registered Clinical Psychologist in South Africa, offering online psychological therapy to adults, adolescents, and parents across South Africa. I work from a trauma-informed, attachment-based, and relational framework, with a particular interest in psychodynamic therapy. Online therapy allows me to provide accessible and confidential psychological support to individuals and families regardless of location. I believe that emotional difficulties often make sense when understood in the context of a person’s life experiences, relationships, and attachment history. Many adults and adolescents seek therapy when they feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, disconnected, or caught in patterns that no longer feel helpful. Others may notice increasing anxiety, low mood, burnout, relationship difficulties, or challenges managing strong emotions. A trauma-informed approach prioritises emotional safety, trust, and collaboration, allowing therapy to unfold at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. My therapeutic orientation is primarily attachment-based and psychodynamic. This approach focuses on understanding how early experiences and significant relationships shape present-day emotional responses, self-esteem, coping patterns, and ways of relating to others. Therapy is a collaborative process in which we work together to explore recurring themes, deepen self-awareness, and develop a clearer understanding of your inner world. Rather than offering quick solutions, therapy provides a space for reflection, emotional processing, and meaningful change over time. I have experience working in psychiatric hospital settings, including with children and adolescents, which has strengthened my ability to work with complexity, high emotional distress, and a range of clinical presentations. This background continues to inform my careful, containment-focused approach when working with adults, adolescents, and families in private practice. I work with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, low self-worth, and relationship challenges. I also support clients who feel easily overwhelmed, struggle with emotional regulation, or find it difficult to manage intense emotions. In addition, I offer parental support, working with parents who feel emotionally overwhelmed, uncertain in their parenting role, or impacted by their own attachment histories and relational patterns. While my core approach is trauma-informed and psychodynamic, I integrate attachment-based interventions, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) where appropriate. DBT skills may assist with grounding, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation, while CBT tools can help gently shift unhelpful thinking patterns. All interventions are tailored to the individual and used in service of the therapeutic process rather than as stand-alone techniques. I currently offer online therapy only, providing flexible and accessible psychological support to clients throughout South Africa. I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and accept medical aids, with claims subject to individual medical aid scheme benefits and requirements. My aim is to offer a therapeutic space that is warm, respectful, and non-judgemental, where you can show up as you are. Beginning therapy can feel daunting, especially if you are unsure where to start. Therapy is not about being “fixed”, but about creating space to explore, reflect, and grow at your own pace within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship.
